Ultraviolet and Trypsin Therapy in Perichondritis and Hematoma of the Auricle

Abstract
|
|
|
We experienced 6 cases of perichondritis and 1 case of hematoma of the auricle since November, 1964.
There were good result in 3 cases of the perichondritis and I case of hematoma of the auricle with ultraviolet exposures, and I case of the perichondritis with ultraviolet exposures combined with 5 percent trypsin irrigation (q 3hr.). Other 2 cases of the auricular perichondritis who had destruction of the cartilage were treated with ultraviolet exposures combined´ with 5 percent trypsin irrigation. These cases had slight deformity of the auricle.
